Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maureen Karyl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Maureen Karyl is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Jones misses.
Karyl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bones Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones scores with a body shot.
Jones is looking to clinch but Karyl is avoiding it.
Jones thuds a left hand into Karyl's body.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Karyl saw that one coming.

and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones cracks Karyl with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Karyl gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jones is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Karyl is keeping busy.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Karyl up against the cage.
Jones using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Karyl has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Still in the clinch, Karyl scores with a nice short uppercut.

Karyl is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Karyl manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Karyl postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Karyl postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jones has momentary wrist control but Karyl slips an elbow through the middle.

Karyl is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Karyl has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karyl looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Karyl scores with a big shot! Jones's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Jones! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
