The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Uchiha does no damage.
Uchiha throws out a loose jab but Marufuji uses good head movement to avoid it.
Uchiha throws a head kick that Marufuji semi-blocks.
Marufuji bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Marufuji misses with a hook.
Uchiha scores with a head kick.
Uchiha throws a series of punches but Marufuji moves out of range.
Uchiha gets caught napping as Marufuji dives in and scores a takedown. Uchiha manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Marufuji lands a couple of digs.
Uchiha is looking for a triangle but Marufuji pushes his legs off easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Marufuji's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marufuji passes into half guard.
Marufuji trying to control from half guard but Uchiha is working away.

Marufuji prevents Uchiha from improving his position.
Marufuji seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Marufuji passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marufuji with shots to the head and body - Uchiha looks very uncomfortable down there.

Marufuji trying to control but Uchiha is having none of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marufuji cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Marufuji has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marufuji scoring with strikes but Uchiha is staying in there.
Uchiha is trying to stand up.
Marufuji is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Uchiha can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Marufuji looking to control and managing it successfully.
Uchiha is looking to improve his position but Marufuji isn't that keen on the idea.
Marufuji tries to control but Uchiha wriggling away.

Marufuji landing strikes from the mount.
Uchiha is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marufuji scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Uchiha is squirming around, avoiding Marufuji's attempts to control the action.
Marufuji fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Uchiha is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marufuji postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Uchiha in real trouble here! The ref calls for Uchiha to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
