The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barry.
Cote fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barry avoids it really well and circles away.
Cote shoots in but Barry avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cote shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Cote. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cote changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barry tries to avoid it but Cote manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barry to the ground. Barry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cote bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Barry sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Barry has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Cote. Oh but Barry has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Cote goes limp - he's gone! Barry jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
