Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magatsu Taito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas comes to the cage accompanied by Spartan Warriors. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Taito.
Taito looks to throw the jab but Leonidas is out of range.
Leonidas throws a jab when Taito was well out of range.
Leonidas looks to land a left hand but Taito moved out of range nicely.
Taito throws a right and a left that Leonidas avoids nicely.
Taito shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leonidas defends it nicely.
Leonidas clobbers Taito with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Taito will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Taito uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leonidas.
Leonidas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Taito counters with a nice low kick that buckles Leonidas's knee momentarily.

Taito looks for a takedown but Leonidas sprawls well.
Taito shoots in looking for a takedown. Leonidas tries to sprawl out of it but Taito keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Leonidas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
King Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magatsu Taito.

Taito connects with a leg kick. Leonidas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Leonidas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Taito sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Taito turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Leonidas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Taito throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Taito dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Leonidas. That did some damage!

Taito tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leonidas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taito somewhat.
Leonidas throws a shot from downtown. Taito moves away and avoids it.

Leonidas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taito's head backwards.
Leonidas is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Magatsu Taito will probably get the nod.

Taito is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Taito throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leonidas's waist but Leonidas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taito off to one side.
Taito lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Taito is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Leonidas drops Taito with a naaaaasty hook - Taito is in real trouble here! Leonidas dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
