Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, WhaleOil BeefHooked!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BeefHooked fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Steel gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steel fails to land a wild elbow strike.
BeefHooked tries to bench press Steel off him but Steel keeps the position.
BeefHooked is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Steel off and has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steel is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
BeefHooked connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Steel to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

BeefHooked drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Steel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now BeefHooked has Steel in his guard.

BeefHooked working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steel is looking to work some ground and pound but BeefHooked has wrist control.
BeefHooked looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
BeefHooked is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Steel got a little sloppy there for a moment and BeefHooked has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steel has managed to get both his arms back between BeefHooked's legs - danger averted.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

BeefHooked fails with the takedown.
BeefHooked changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but BeefHooked manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Steel throws a front kick that sends BeefHooked stumbling back into the cage.
BeefHooked shoots in but Steel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Adam Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of WhaleOil BeefHooked.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts BeefHooked as he jumps to the side.

Steel gets caught flat footed, as BeefHooked shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Steel gets to his feet - BeefHooked follows without any prompting.
BeefHooked takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Horrible takedown by Steel or perhaps it was just good defense by BeefHooked which made him look bad.

and Steel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
BeefHooked tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Steel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steel throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

BeefHooked lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Steel!
BeefHooked cracks Steel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Steel avoids a strike by BeefHooked and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in BeefHooked's guard! Fantastic escape!

BeefHooked jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Steel is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Steel and BeefHooked has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
