The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones dodges the punch combination from King.
Jones missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for King on that attempt.

and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King.
King throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.

King misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.

King shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but King finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
King perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

King stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jones to get to his feet.

King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

King bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.

King rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
