Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Bakreek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fisher's choice of entrance music: Cannibal Corpse - Priests of Sodom. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Bakreek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakreek connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fisher's hands.


It looks like George Fisher has been cut.
Bakreek just misses with a punch to the body.
Fisher turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Fisher counters with a straight right hand.

Bakreek throws a right hand that Fisher ducks under and follows up with a left that Fisher also avoids with ease.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bakreek bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Jeff Bakreek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nice straight punches there by Fisher. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fisher.
Fisher wants to clinch up but Bakreek keeps it at a distance.

Bakreek is rocked!
Bakreek drops his hands momentarily. Fisher doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Bakreek staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Bakreek doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Fisher!
