The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uusivirta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rovanpera can pounce on him.
Rovanpera looks to score with a jab to the body but Uusivirta is just out of range.
Rovanpera misses with an uppercut.
Uusivirta throws out a loose jab but Rovanpera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Uusivirta thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice uppercut lands for Rovanpera. That snapped Uusivirta's head back.

Rovanpera gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Uusivirta wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Uusivirta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seppo Rovanpera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rovanpera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Uusivirta.

Rovanpera closes the distance and clinches up with Uusivirta, looking for a takedown. Rovanpera pushes Uusivirta against the cage but Uusivirta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Rovanpera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Uusivirta won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Uusivirta stuns Rovanpera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rovanpera fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Uusivirta is out of range.
Uusivirta misses with a low kick as Rovanpera jumps back.
Uusivirta scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Rovanpera shoots in and drives through. Uusivirta sprawls well.
Rovanpera dives in and grabs Uusivirta's left leg, looking for a takedown. Uusivirta pushes down on Rovanpera's head and hops out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uusivirta drops Rovanpera with a big left hand! Rovanpera is injured, injured bad! Uusivirta jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
