The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subdollah chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Subdollah misses with an attempted mid kick.
Subdollah throws a sloppy head kick and Diaz moves out of range easily.
Subdollah blocks a jab.
Subdollah tries to clinch up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Diaz takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Subdollah moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.

Diaz jumps into guard, dragging Subdollah to the mat.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Subdollah defends well.

Subdollah decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Diaz, up you get!

Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Amir Subdollah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Subdollah closes the distance but Diaz moves to the side
and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Diaz seems to have got his legs back now.
Amir Subdollah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Subdollah moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.

Subdollah looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Subdollah backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Diaz's temple! It sends Diaz violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Subdollah celebrates and the doctors try to help Diaz!

Amir Subdollah spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
