PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wong Yuanjiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhonny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage tries for a takedown but Yuanjiao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cage dodges the punch combination from Yuanjiao.
Yuanjiao throws a nice looking combination but Cage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cage shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yuanjiao pinned against the cage. Yuanjiao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Yuanjiao looks to land a right hand but Cage moved out of range.
Yuanjiao throws an overhand right that lands on Cage's shoulder, as Cage tries to avoid the shot.
Yuanjiao fails to land with a series of punches.

Cage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yuanjiao.

Cage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yuanjiao tries to bum rush Cage with a series of wild strikes but Cage uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yuanjiao leaves Cage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wong Yuanjiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhonny Cage.

Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yuanjiao avoids it really well and circles away.

Cage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yuanjiao's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Cage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yuanjiao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Yuanjiao is looking to get back to his feet here but Cage is keeping cool and he's managed to take Yuanjiao's back.
Yuanjiao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cage wants to control but Yuanjiao manages to buck him off and is now in Cage's guard! Nice work there by Yuanjiao!
Cage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yuanjiao's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cage wants to take a breather but Yuanjiao is having none of it.

Cage is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yuanjiao defends it well.

Cage is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yuanjiao doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cage.
Yuanjiao is staying active underneath Cage, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cage might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Yuanjiao kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yuanjiao is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cage gets his way!
