Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Muscles Glasses!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riku Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glasses lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takahashi at a distance.
Takahashi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Glasses tries to clinch but Takahashi moves out of range.
Glasses closes the distance looking to clinch

and Takahashi counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Takahashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Glasses is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Glasses keeping full guard, as Takahashi tries to pass.
Takahashi trying to control but Glasses is working from the bottom.

Takahashi stays in close to Glasses's body and controls the position.
Takahashi tries to free his leg and advance position but Glasses is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Riku Takahashi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Glasses works Takahashi's body with a nice hook.
Glasses closes the distance looking to clinch

and Takahashi counters with a single leg into guard. Glasses didn't expect that.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takahashi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Glasses is trying to control the position but Takahashi postures up.
Takahashi wants to control from the top but Glasses keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Takahashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glasses swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Riku Takahashi wasn't active enough on the ground.
Takahashi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Glasses circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Glasses as he avoids it easily.
Glasses throws a right and a left that Takahashi avoids nicely.
Glasses wants to clinch but Takahashi slips to the side

and Takahashi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Glasses!
Glasses can't escape the position.
Glasses is working hard here to advance position.
Glasses is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Takahashi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Glasses has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Takahashi working for a submission but Glasses is keeping him at bay.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Glasses tries to hold on but Takahashi postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Glasses stops Takahashi from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Glasses is wriggling around trying to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takahashi controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riku Takahashi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Glasses fails with an attempt to clinch.
Glasses wants to clinch

so Takahashi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Takahashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Glasses looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Takahashi looking to sit in guard and control but Glasses gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takahashi can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glasses won't allow Takahashi to get back to his feet.
Glasses has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Takahashi is proving hard to escape from.
Glasses knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takahashi on the ground.

Takahashi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Glasses takes a swing at Takahashi's ribcage but misses.
Takahashi fails with a takedown attempt.
Glasses stuffs the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takahashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Glasses tries to sprawl out of it but Takahashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Glasses manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Muscles Glasses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riku Takahashi.

Glasses stuffs the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takahashi shoots in looking for a takedown but Glasses manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Takahashi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Takahashi fails with a takedown attempt.
Muscles Glasses is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Glasses goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Riku Takahashi has been cut.

Glasses clinches up with Takahashi and pushes him back against the cage.
Glasses prevents the takedown attempt.
Takahashi goes for a takedown attempt but Glasses pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Takahashi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Glasses connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Takahashi scrambles back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Glasses connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.


Takahashi is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Glasses throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Takahashi stumbling backwards into the cage! Takahashi bounces back off the cage towards Glasses, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Glasses lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Glasses celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Muscles Glasses!
A less than humble Muscles Glasses misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
