The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Payne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Payne forces his way into half guard.

Payne tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rotten controls his leg.
Rotten is looking for a sweep. Payne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Payne is trying to control the action in half guard but Rotten is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rotten gets back to full guard.
Rotten manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Rotten is working for a guillotine from mount but Payne frees his head quite easily.

Rotten is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Payne is forced to tap! Great finish!
