The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhelden throws a left and a right that both miss
and Karwowski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

so Karwowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Vanhelden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Karwowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Karwowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Karwowski is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vanhelden looks calm but he's in trouble here. Karwowski gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vanhelden is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Karwowski lets go of the hold and Vanhelden can pop his arm back in it's socket.
