The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blackwell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Blackwell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sonnen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Blackwell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Blackwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sonnen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sonnen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round but I would say that Adrian Blackwell will probably get the nod.

Sonnen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blackwell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sonnen has managed to get both his arms back between Blackwell's legs - danger averted.
