Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I'm Shipping out to Boston by Dropkick Murphys. Dragon Slayer has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dragon Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slayer's waist but Slayer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Griffon off to one side.
Slayer stuffs the takedown attempt from Griffon. Griffon gets slowly back to his feet.
A cross from Slayer lands.
Griffon looks for a takedown but Slayer sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forrest Griffon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slayer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Griffon takes a step back to recover.
Griffon looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Slayer misses with a takedown
so Griffon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Griffon wants to pass the guard but Slayer is keeping the position.
Griffon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Griffon is breathing heavily.
Slayer can't keep his opponent in guard - Griffon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Slayer pushes Griffon off looking to stand but Griffon dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffon trying to pass the guard but Slayer defending well.
Griffon not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Slayer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Griffon.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Slayer tries to land a body kick
and Griffon counters with a shoot takedown. Slayer fights it but they end up in guard.
Slayer is looking to stand up but Griffon isn't so interested in that idea.
Slayer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Griffon preventing the sweep.
Griffon lands a couple of elbows.
Griffon postures up.
Slayer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Griffon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Griffon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A cross from Slayer lands.
Slayer doesn't succeed with the takedown
so Griffon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Griffon advances position into side control!
Griffon has an Americana. Slayer didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Griffon is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Griffon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
