Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vick Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pauly Dee!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee throws an off balance right hand
and Armstrong makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Dee really felt that one!
Dee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A punch combination from Armstrong misses.
Dee misses with a hook.
A swing and a miss from Dee.
Dee throws a poor cross that misses
and Armstrong counters with a good low kick that Dee was not able to check.
Dee throws a hook but Armstrong avoids it easily.
Armstrong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dee throws a hook to the side of Armstrong's head but Armstrong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Armstrong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dee was covering up waiting for the punch and Armstrong finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dee keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully.

Armstrong sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Armstrong postures up.

Dee throws his legs up looking for a submission but Armstrong uses it to pass to side control.
Armstrong working the head and body with strikes.
Dee is looking to reverse the position.
Dee is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Armstrong happy to just control the position for now.
Dee tries to bench press Armstrong off him but Armstrong keeps the position.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Dee isn't going anywhere.
Armstrong wants to control but Dee is keeping him busy.

Armstrong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Dee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dee tries to improve position but can't.
Armstrong trying to control the position but Dee is working away.
An elbow from Armstrong crashes against the mat.
Dee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Armstrong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Armstrong is trying to get an arm triangle but Dee is defending well.

Armstrong trying to control the position but Dee is working away.
Dee can't do much from the bottom here.
Armstrong in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Armstrong lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dee down.

Armstrong in side control, throwing shots but Dee defends.
Dee is looking to regain half guard here but Armstrong keeps moving and retains side control.
Dee dodges the ground and pound from Armstrong.
Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Armstrong throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Armstrong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Armstrong throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dee tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Armstrong with good strikes from the mount here!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Armstrong landing strikes from the mount.
Armstrong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Dee is rocked!
Armstrong working the ground and pound effectively.
Dee is still in real trouble! Can Armstrong finish him?
Armstrong connects with a bit shot that sees Dee covering up! More strikes from Armstrong and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Armstrong is our winner by TKO!

After winning the bout, Vick Armstrong thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
