PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dark Bori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thi Santanna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dark Bori had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Santanna.

It looks like Dark Bori has been cut.
Bori ducks under a wild hook from Santanna.
Santanna throws a nice looking combination but Bori bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Santanna changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bori gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Santanna.
Santanna scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Santanna throws a big shot that misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santanna throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bori stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Santanna counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Santanna lands with a nice body punch.
Bori moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bori takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Bori with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Santanna to score with a decent uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Santanna counters with a left and a right that stings Bori.

Bori is rocked!
Bori tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santanna swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Bori is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santanna connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Santanna cracks Bori with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bori tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Santanna pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bori is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
