The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cote throws a nice looking combination but Black bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Devon Cote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Cote.
Black moves in looking to clinch but Cote pushes him off.
Cote throws a lazy right hand but Black sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Cote. No joy for Black on that attempt.
Cote takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cote scores with a spinning back kick!
Cote throws a one two combo.
Black throws a leg kick that misses.

Black scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cote avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Black.
Black takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Black wants to pass the guard but Cote is defending well.
Black working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Black is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cote!
Black breaks from Cote's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Cote is rocked!
A big strike lands for Black! That's really hurt Cote and he's turned his back - Black keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Black Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
