The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Darko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Darko has closed the distance and engaged Bowman in a clinch.
Darko tries for a takedown but Bowman manages to get underhooks.
Bowman prevents the takedown attempt.
Nathan Bowman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Darko.
Bowman has Darko pushed against the cage.

Bowman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bowman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Darko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Darko changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bowman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bowman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bowman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Darko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Darko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bowman wants to get back to his feet but Darko drags him back down.
Bowman is looking to reverse the position.
Darko creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Bowman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Darko off and has taken his back!

Darko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bowman wants to get back to his feet but Darko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Darko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Darko lands a couple of elbows.
Darko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Bowman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Darko doesn't defend quickly enough and Bowman has managed to lock this one up! Can Darko escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bowman on a fantastic submission victory.
