PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Clinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clinton comes to the cage accompanied by Break Ya Neck. The crowd seem to be enjoying Wilson's choice of entrance music: Caustic Are The Ties That Bind. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Clinton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wade Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clinton misses with a hook. Wilson ducked under it nicely.
Wilson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wilson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Clinton is out of range.
Wilson scoring well with a low kick there.
Clinton tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from Clinton. Clinton gets slowly back to his feet.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wilson, right into the meat.

Clinton clinches up against the cage.

Clinton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wilson uses from the top position.
Clinton lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wilson!

Clinton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wilson is now in Clinton's guard. A big mistake from Clinton there, giving up the dominant position!

Clinton throws an elbow that misses. Wilson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Clinton's guard. Nice move by Wilson!

Clinton creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wilson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's time! Clinton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Clinton goes for an armbar but Wilson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wilson.
Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clinton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clinton is on top in guard.
Clinton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wilson can do to turn this around?

Clinton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wilson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Clinton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Clinton in particular looking to stall.
Clinton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wilson tries to roll over but Clinton keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wilson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Clinton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Clinton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Bill Clinton wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Clinton throws the left hand but Wilson avoids the punch easily.
Wilson tries to score with a low kick but Clinton moves his leg out of the way.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Clinton jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Clinton throws a shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bill Clinton showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Clinton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
