Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Adler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepard has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adler shoots in looking for a takedown but Shepard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Shepard tries to land a leg kick but Adler saw it coming and moves away.

Shepard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Adler sprawls well initially but Shepard persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Adler has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shepard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Adler is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shepard pulls down on the head and he's put Adler to sleep! This one is all over!
