Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Williams!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Phil Williams has been cut.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Doe - that will leave a mark!
Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Doe instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Williams.

Doe breaks the clinch.

Doe shoots in and gets a takedown into Williams's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Doe wants to stand but Williams has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Williams is looking for a triangle but Doe pushes his legs off easily.

Doe stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Phil Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Williams.

Williams throws a combination that misses

and Doe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Doe.
Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Doe controls the pace.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Doe scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Doe slows the pace down.

Doe stands up and beckons Williams to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Doe.

Doe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Doe stands up from half guard.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams.
Williams drops his hands momentarily and Doe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Doe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Doe advances nicely into full mount.
Doe controlling his opponent.
Doe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Williams sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Doe content to control rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Doe.
Doe throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Williams.

Doe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Doe stands up from Williams's guard - Doe perhaps looking for a knockout.
Doe throws a combination. Williams tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Doe throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Williams was covering up waiting for the punch and Doe finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doe controls from within his opponent's guard.
Doe pushing down on Williams's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Doe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Doe stands up and beckons Williams to join him on the feet.

Doe looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Doe is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Doe stands up from Williams's guard - Doe perhaps looking for a knockout.
Doe stalks Williams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Williams's face. Williams staggers backwards, shaken.
Nice sprawl there from Doe as Williams shoots in.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Doe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Doe stands up and beckons Williams to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Phil Williams's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A nice leg kick lands there from Doe.
Williams is trying desperately to land a takedown but Doe is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Williams.
Williams takes a kick to the side of the head.

Doe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Doe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Williams!

Doe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around?
Williams really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

John Doe has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Doe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Doe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Doe scores with a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from Williams. Those never looked like landing.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doe circles away.
Doe stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Williams.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Doe closes the distance and clinches.

Doe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Doe. No joy for Williams on that attempt.

Doe gets a clinch.

Doe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Doe scores with a kick to the midsection.
Doe sizes up Williams with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


That has opened up Phil Williams's cut even more.
Doe connects with a high kick.


Williams is rocked!

Doe lands a big head kick that sends Williams tumbling to the mat! Doe takes a step backwards and waves Williams back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Doe finish him?

Doe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the ropes.
Williams tries for a takedown. No joy.

Doe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Doe throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Williams is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Doe!
