Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davison has chosen Cinderella Man - Eminem as his entrance music. Joshua Davison will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshua Davison!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Davison is able to avoid easily.
Nice shot lands for Davison.
Davison steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Smith. That one must have hurt.
Smith scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Davison feints a jab promting Smith to slip. Davison then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smith slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Sam Smith has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Davison checks a low kick from Smith.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
Danga de danga de dang - Davison scores with a four punch combination!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith thumps Davison with a low kick.
Davison takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Smith looks for the body kick but Davison saw that one coming.
Smith blocks a jab.
Davison takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Davison lands with a cross.
Davison throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith.
Davison moves out of range of the body kick from Smith.
Davison misses with a left hand
and Smith counters with an outside leg kick.
Davison sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Smith gets to his feet - Davison follows without any prompting.
Smith with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smith shoots in but Davison avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davison as he avoids it easily.
Davison takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davison's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Davison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well.

Smith gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Davison blocks the body kick.
Smith throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Davison ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davison.
Smith throws out a leg kick but Davison moves out of range and Smith only half commits.
The fighters circle momentarily. Davison darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Davison fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Smith fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Davison to the ground. Smith is now in Davison's guard.
Smith tries to stand but Davison is controlling from the bottom.
Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Davison is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Davison has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.
Smith tries to stand but Davison is controlling from the bottom.

Smith wants to land a leg kick but Davison is out of range.
Davison on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A jab from Davison finds it's way through Smith's defenses.
Davison takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smith.
Smith throws a wild body kick that Davison sees coming a mile off.

Davison pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Smith back to the ropes. Davison follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Smith wants to slow Davison down by chopping away at his legs.
Smith moves forwards but Davison connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Davison throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith tries to work over Davison's front leg with a kick but Davison checks it.
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Smith stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Davison misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith misses with a kick to the body.
Davison fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith misses with a body kick.
Smith tries to work over Davison's front leg with a kick but Davison checks it.

Smith looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Davison!
Davison is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Smith stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith lands a nice leg kick that just misses Davison's sensitive parts.
Some bone on bone action there as Davison checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Davison is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smith pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davison might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Davison is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Davison connects with a right that clearly hurt Smith. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Davison proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Smith collapses and taps out under the pressure!
