Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Ozzie Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Miklo Velka!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Velka coming out on top.
Velka throws a good cross that connects.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A bone on bone clash there as Castillo blocks the leg kick.
Velka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Velka, right into the meat.
Velka misses with a wild body shot.
Miklo Velka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Miklo Velka has been cut.
Castillo throws a hook but Velka avoids it easily.
Castillo blocks a head kick by Velka.
Velka tries to clinch up.

Velka misses with a body kick.
Velka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Velka throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Castillo misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Velka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Velka avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Castillo ducks under a wild hook from Velka.
Castillo misses the shot to the body.
Castillo throws an off balance right hand
and Velka makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Castillo throws a body punch but Velka moves out of range.

Castillo scores with a sloppy right hand. Velka should have avoided that one.
Castillo throws a big shot that misses.
Castillo keeps the fight on the outside.
Castillo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Velka.
Velka uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Castillo.
A nice combination there by Velka.
Castillo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Velka's head backwards.

Velka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Castillo misses with a two punch combination.
Castillo lunges at Velka with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Velka's hand.

Velka rushes Castillo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Velka slowing the pace effectively.
Castillo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Velka has him pressed against the cage.
Castillo takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Ozzie Castillo has been cut.
Castillo prevents a body shot from Velka.
Velka lands an elbow just above Castillo 's eye.
Velka tries to land a knee to the head but Castillo blocks with his arms.
Castillo misses with the head strike.
Castillo working hard to break the clinch.
Velka will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Castillo up against the cage.

Velka creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Castillo's defenses.
Castillo wants to get back to striking at distance but Velka won't allow it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Castillo is trying to push Velka away but Velka has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Velka just misses with a elbow thrown towards Castillo's brow.
Castillo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Velka lands a nice elbow.


Ozzie Castillo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Velka landing some nice looking knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miklo Velka dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Castillo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Velka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castillo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Velka throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Velka moves out of range of the strikes.
Velka moves out of range as Castillo strikes.
Castillo misses with a double jab.
Good exchange - Castillo coming out on top.
Velka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Velka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A nice leg kick lands there from Velka.

Velka throws a jab when Castillo was well out of range.
Velka looks to land a body kick but Castillo moved away.
Castillo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Velka manages to avoid it.
Good shot there by Castillo.
Velka fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Castillo tries to keep at a distance but Velka has taken the fight into the clinch.
Velka pushes Castillo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Castillo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Velka lands an elbow inside that Castillo shrugs off.
Velka stalling.
Castillo wants to get back to striking at distance but Velka won't allow it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Velka creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.


Jeez, Ozzie Castillo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Castillo wants to break free but Velka has control.
Velka lands an elbow inside.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ozzie Castillo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
