The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Druff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pwner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Druff somewhat.
Dan Druff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pwner misses with the combination.

Druff looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Druff is working for a submission of some sort.

Druff wants to work for an arm triangle but Pwner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pwner pushes Druff off looking to stand but Druff dives back in and keeps control.
Druff takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pwner wants to get back to his feet.
