PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dvon Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and roushgt rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rambo has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jason scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
rambo looks gassed!
Jason wants to stand but rambo is controlling his arm.

Jason has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jason uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before rambo has time to react.
rambo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jason misses with a takedown attempt - rambo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jason stops rambo from getting back to his feet.

Jason seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

rambo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jason jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… rambo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by rambo and Jason has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jason wants to stand but rambo is controlling his posture from full guard.

rambo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jason doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jason manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

rambo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jason is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. rambo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jason's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jason manages to reverse the position and now he's in rambo's guard. Nice work there by Jason.
