Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Worker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rich Worker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Thorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rich Worker!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Worker dives in and scores a takedown into Thorn's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thorn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Worker controls the pace.
Thorn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Thorn pushes Worker off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Thorn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thorn wants it to stay on the feet.
Good leg kick by Thorn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Thorn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Worker.

and Worker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Thorn tries to lock up and control but Worker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Worker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thorn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Worker has his foot on Thorn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thorn works his way back into a safe position though.

Thorn is fighting to break Worker's control of his arms but Worker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Worker has his foot on Thorn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thorn works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Thorn closes the distance and clinches.
Thorn is trying to break the clinch but Worker has him pressed against the cage.
Worker jumps guard but Thorn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Worker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thorn walks away with a smile on his face. Worker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Thorn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Worker defends it easily.
Thorn wants to stand and escape but Worker is having none of it.

Worker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Worker is standing up over Thorn. Thorn looks to escape but Worker dives into side control.
Worker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Thorn's shoulder. That is not cool.
Worker prevents Thorn from escaping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Worker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Worker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thorn is letting Worker control him for a moment.

Worker is trying to get an arm triangle but Thorn is defending well.

Worker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thorn, who protects the arm well.
Worker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Worker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Worker moves in looking to clinch but Thorn pushes him off.

Worker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Worker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thorn as he avoids it easily.

Thorn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Thorn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Worker is doing well to control the position and prevent Thorn from advancing to side control.

Thorn doesn't manage to clinch there - Worker circles away.

Rich Worker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Worker wants to clinch but Thorn slips to the side
and Thorn counters with a nice low kick that buckles Worker's knee momentarily.
