Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yardy Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garlin Liddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: eye of the tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Garlin Liddle!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddle misses with a head kick.

Liddle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Liddle is pushing down on Kingston's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kingston is fighting to maintain full guard but Liddle has managed to sneak the leg through.
Liddle tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kingston knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddle is trying to control. Kingston wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kingston avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kingston lands a leg kick that knocks Liddle off balance momentarily.
Kingston avoids the head kick by Liddle.
No luck for Kingston with that takedown attempt.
Kingston blocks a head kick by Liddle.
Kingston changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddle tries to avoid it but Kingston manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddle to the ground. Liddle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Liddle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Liddle fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kingston to the ground. Liddle is now in Kingston's guard.

Kingston is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Liddle rolls with it to try and escape but Kingston cranks on the arm and Liddle is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
