Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Say Nara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alcaeus Theban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nara comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Stand Up. Theban is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nara throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Theban tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nara is in Theban's guard.
Nara trying to control the position from guard on top but Theban is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nara trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Theban wants to stand but Nara is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nara throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Theban works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Theban wants to get back to his feet but Nara is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Theban scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nara in his tracks.

It looks like Alcaeus Theban has been cut.
Nara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Theban sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nara somewhat.
Alcaeus Theban is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Theban throws a looping overhand right but Nara ducks down to avoid it.
Nara swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Theban as he jumps to the side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nara takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Nara avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Theban looks to land a body kick but Nara moved away.

Nara throws a jab but it's blocked by Theban.
Theban scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Say Nara has been cut.

Theban will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Theban slips a straight right by Nara.
Nara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Theban but Theban pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Say Nara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Theban scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nara closes this distance looking for a takedown but Theban circles away.

Theban scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Nara misses the shot to the body.
Nara swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Theban throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alcaeus Theban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Theban swings for the body but Nara moves out of range.
Theban scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Theban lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Nara can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Theban and Nara drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Theban.
