PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo tries to clinch there but Ware circles away.
Peter Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Araujo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ware has time to react.
Araujo moves forwards but Ware connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ware swings for the body but Araujo moves out of range.
Araujo is looking to clinch.
Araujo tries to clinch but Ware is having none of it.
Ware thows a body shot but no joy.
Ware uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Araujo has time to react.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ware cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Araujo is desperately trying to improve his position but Ware has a good base and remains in mount.

Araujo tries to hold on but Ware postures up.
Araujo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ware goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Araujo is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ware throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Ware looking to hit a scissor sweep but Araujo is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ware lands a jab to Araujo's midsection.
Ware shoots in looking for a takedown. Araujo tries to sprawl out of it but Ware keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Araujo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ware lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Araujo at a distance.
Ware is breathing heavily.

Araujo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ware gets caught flat footed, as Araujo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ware wants to sweep here but Araujo controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ware fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Araujo manages to avoid it.

Araujo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Araujo is looking to take a break and control but Ware is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Araujo moves into full mount! Ware won't be happy about that!
Araujo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ware has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

I really don't envy Ware right now.
Araujo lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Ware hold on?!

Araujo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ware defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Ware is trying to get back to his feet but Araujo has full control of the position and if anything, Ware has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Ware just trying to survive but Araujo is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ware wants to control his opponent's hands but Araujo gets his hands free.

Araujo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ware has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Araujo is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Ware. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

A close second round but Fernando Araujo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ware avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ware throws a shot from downtown. Araujo moves away and avoids it.
Ware throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Araujo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ware's waist but Ware gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Araujo off to one side.
Araujo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ware circles away.
Araujo tries a head kick but it misses.
Araujo takes one on the button.
Ware walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ware attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Araujo moves out of range as Ware strikes.
Ware lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ware lands a jab to the head.
Araujo wants to clinch.
Ware missing with a left hand there. Araujo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Araujo.
Peter Ware has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Araujo.

Ware is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Ware has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Araujo is trying to keep an underhook but Ware manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Araujo is looking for a sweep. Ware is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ware is keen to just control but Araujo is a slippery customer.
Ware looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Araujo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
