Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elberto Phenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piltz comes to the ring accompanied by I'm too Sexy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piltz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Phenix looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Piltz thuds his shin into the meat of Phenix's side.

Phenix closes the distance and clinches.
Piltz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Phenix.
Piltz misses with some punches.
A head punch on the inside from Phenix fails to land.
Piltz unloads a knee to the mid-section. Phenix lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Piltz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Phenix moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Elberto Phenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Phenix shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Piltz sprawls well. Piltz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Phenix gets slowly back to his feet.
Piltz connects with a leg kick. Phenix looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Piltz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Phenix back to the ropes. Piltz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Phenix tries to score a power double leg takedown but Piltz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Phenix somewhat.
Mark Piltz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elberto Phenix.

Phenix is trying desperately to land a takedown but Piltz is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Phenix.

Piltz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Phenix circles away quickly and effectively.
Phenix shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Piltz as he jumps to the side.

Piltz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Phenix tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Piltz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Piltz connects with a nice cross there... Phenix is looking wobbly and Piltz recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Phenix to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Piltz jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!

Mark Piltz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
