PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Kiilopaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiilopaa comes to the cage accompanied by Extreme Ways. Rude has chosen Gunslinger as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rude lands a jab to the head.
Rude finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A jab from Rude finds it's way through Kiilopaa's defenses.

It looks like Pertti Kiilopaa has been cut.
Kiilopaa misses with a series of wild punches.
Kiilopaa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rude.
Rude misses with a low kick.
Sloppy strikes from Kiilopaa. Those never looked like landing.
Kiilopaa throws a low kick, looking for Rude's leg but Rude calmly moves out of range.
Kiilopaa throws a nice looking combination but Rude bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rude fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kiilopaa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rude connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kiilopaa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rude's head.
Kiilopaa tries to bum rush Rude with a series of wild strikes but Rude uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rude misses with a looping right.
Kiilopaa looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rude scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kiilopaa doesn't seem bothered though.
Kiilopaa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Rude lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rude lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kiilopaa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kiilopaa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Kiilopaa looks to land a combination but Rude avoids it well.
Rude slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Pertti Kiilopaa's cut is getting worse.
Rude gets in close and tags Kiilopaa with a short punch that almost sends Kiilopaa to the mat! Oh Kiilopaa is in big trouble! He turns his back on Rude, trying to create some distance but Rude rushes him, striking wildly and Kiilopaa goes down! The referee tackles Rude into the cage to end the fight! Rude is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominic Rude!
A relieved looking Dominic Rude thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
