Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Barkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leko Pavicevic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barkas comes to the cage accompanied by Civil war. Hannibal Barkas had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavicevic misses with a wild combination.
Pavicevic doesn't manage to clinch there - Barkas circles away.

It looks like Hannibal Barkas has been cut.
Pavicevic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barkas.
Barkas tries for a takedown but Pavicevic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pavicevic misses with a body kick.

Pavicevic tries to clinch up but Barkas circles away and keeps his distance.

Leko Pavicevic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barkas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Horrible takedown by Barkas or perhaps it was just good defense by Pavicevic which made him look bad.

and Barkas counters with a series of strikes. Pavicevic will be more careful next time no doubt.

Barkas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pavicevic jabs Barkas right on the nose. Barkas blinks but takes it well.

Pavicevic throws a series of punches but Barkas moves out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Pavicevic darts in and clinches Barkas up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pavicevic lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barkas lands an elbow inside that Pavicevic shrugs off.
Pavicevic drops down looking for an ankle pick but Barkas pulls his leg out and moves away.

Barkas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pavicevic, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pavicevic stalks Barkas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barkas's face. Barkas staggers backwards, shaken.
Barkas misses with a hook. Pavicevic ducked under it nicely.

and Barkas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pavicevic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barkas circles away quickly and effectively.

and Barkas counters with a series of strikes that sends Pavicevic to the canvas! Barkas follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Pavicevic is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pavicevic controls Barkas momentarily but Barkas frees himself.

Pavicevic has his foot on Barkas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barkas works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pavicevic is trying to keep Barkas in close.

Pavicevic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barkas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barkas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pavicevic looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Barkas throws a strike but Pavicevic rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pavicevic is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pavicevic passes into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pavicevic seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Barkas is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
