Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bv Rasp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiger Bear has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tiger Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bv Rasp!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bear.
Rasp lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rasp.
Tiger Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bear throws a hook to the side of Rasp's head but Rasp sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bear tries a low kick but Rasp avoids it.
Rasp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bear manages to avoid it.
Rasp tries to close the distance and clinch but Bear swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rasp is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rasp swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bear.
Bear looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rasp comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rasp keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rasp just misses with a punch to the body.
Rasp tries to clinch up.
Rasp moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rasp rushes Bear and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rasp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rasp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bear.
Bear avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rasp just misses with a punch to the body.
Bear fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rasp manages to avoid it.
Bear circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bear thuds a left hand into Rasp's body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rasp.
Rasp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rasp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rasp lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Rasp is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bear lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rasp!

Bear wants to stand but Rasp is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Rasp sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Rasp looking for submissions off his back.
Rasp manages to get to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rasp working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bear.
Bear wants to get up but he can't break Rasp's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bear is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rasp has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bear is looking to defend but Rasp has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bear! Rasp pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bear taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bv Rasp!
