Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alaska Winterstorm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski has chosen Zaraz Cie Zniszcze as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alaska Winterstorm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski gets a clinch.
Kowalski tries to circle away but Winterstorm has him pinned against the cage.
Winterstorm keeps control of Kowalski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Winterstorm trying to control but Kowalski is working from the bottom.
Kowalski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winterstorm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Winterstorm sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kowalski's guard.

Winterstorm is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kowalski sees it coming and defends easily.

Winterstorm advances position into side control!
Kowalski is not content to let Winterstorm control the position.
Winterstorm tries to score with some ground and pound. Kowalski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Winterstorm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Winterstorm in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Winterstorm is looking to take a break and control but Kowalski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Winterstorm tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winterstorm has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Winterstorm is looking to take a break and control but Kowalski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Winterstorm goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kowalski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Winterstorm but great work by Kowalski.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Winterstorm is looking for a sweep.
Kowalski tries to score with some ground and pound. Winterstorm controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Kowalski tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kowalski creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Winterstorm sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Winterstorm parries the strikes from Kowalski easily there. Kowalski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Winterstorm to escape.
Winterstorm manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winterstorm looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Winterstorm kicks off Kowalski and gets to his feet.

Winterstorm tries to sprawl but Kowalski drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kowalski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Winterstorm looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alaska Winterstorm will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kowalski works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Winterstorm shoots for a double leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls well. He's pushed Winterstorm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Winterstorm avoids a kick to the body.
Winterstorm shoots in for a takedown but Kowalski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Winterstorm takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Kowalski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Winterstorm is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kowalski pulls his head out easily.
Winterstorm makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Winterstorm.
Kowalski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Winterstorm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Winterstorm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kowalski is one step ahead there.

Winterstorm uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Kowalski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Winterstorm on his heels. He'll look to pass Winterstorm's guard now, I'm sure.
Kowalski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Winterstorm is proving hard to escape from.

Winterstorm is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kowalski frees his head nicely. Oh but Winterstorm has switched to an armbar! Kowalski is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Alaska Winterstorm!
In his post fight interview, Alaska Winterstorm started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
