Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ty Kuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zew Whoosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuno's entrance music is Get Up Again. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ty Kuno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zew Whoosh!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuno works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kuno throws an ugly left hook that misses

so Whoosh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Whoosh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kuno wants to sweep here but Whoosh controlling him for the moment.
Whoosh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Whoosh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Whoosh trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Whoosh throws a strike aimed at the side of Kuno's head but Kuno avoids it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kuno is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whoosh in side control, throwing shots but Kuno defends.
Whoosh postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Whoosh looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Whoosh working the strikes but Kuno uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Whoosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kuno keeps working.
Kuno keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kuno on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kuno tries to get out of the position.
Whoosh tries to pass to full mount but Kuno defends it.
Whoosh trying to control the action but Kuno is working from the bottom.
Kuno wants to get back to full guard.
Whoosh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Whoosh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Whoosh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Whoosh is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Whoosh lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kuno wants to control but Whoosh is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kuno is holding on to half guard well.
Whoosh prevents Kuno from improving his position.
Whoosh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kuno knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Whoosh landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Whoosh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kuno has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kuno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Whoosh on the ground.
Whoosh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Whoosh wants to pass to mount but Kuno is defending the position.
Whoosh is looking to take a break and control but Kuno is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Whoosh looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Kuno avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Whoosh.

Whoosh is looking for a kimura here.
Kuno trying to control here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kuno blocking the ground and pound attempt from Whoosh.
Whoosh working over Kuno with some ground and pound. Kuno looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zew Whoosh dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kuno just misses with a punch to the body.
The fighters circling - Kuno throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Whoosh throws a head kick that misses.
Kuno bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Whoosh's head backwards.
Whoosh tries to clinch but Kuno moves away
and Kuno connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kuno swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kuno is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kuno chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Whoosh can pounce on him.
Kuno looks to score with a jab to the body but Whoosh is just out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Whoosh.
Kuno scores with a nice strike.
Whoosh throws a big shot that misses.
Whoosh throws a push kick but Kuno slaps the foot to one side.
Whoosh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kuno tries to avoid it but Whoosh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kuno to the ground. Kuno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kuno lands a jab-cross combination.


Whoosh is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kuno cracks Whoosh's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Whoosh slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Kuno can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ty Kuno!
