Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tom Geroin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itagaki Manabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itagaki Manabu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Geroin has managed to clinch.

Geroin has hold of one of Manabu's legs. Manabu is fighting the takedown attempt but Geroin gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Manabu trying to control the position.
Manabu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Geroin's guard.

Geroin wriggles free and stands up.
Geroin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Manabu avoids it really well and circles away.
Geroin fails with a takedown attempt.
Manabu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Geroin dodges the punch combination from Manabu.
Manabu looks gassed!

Geroin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Geroin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Geroin forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Geroin is controlling the pace.
Geroin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Geroin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Manabu sees it coming and defends easily.
Manabu wants to control but Geroin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Geroin stalling.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Geroin moves nicely into side control.

Geroin is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Manabu looks calm but he's in trouble here. Geroin gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Manabu is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Geroin lets go of the hold and Manabu can pop his arm back in it's socket.
