PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between We Rollin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Dunsmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is White and Nerdy. Dunsmore has chosen It's Amazing by Kanye West as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, We Rollin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Dunsmore!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dunsmore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rollin's waist but Rollin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunsmore off to one side.
Dunsmore dives in and grabs Rollin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rollin pushes down on Dunsmore's head and hops out.
We Rollin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Dunsmore.

Rollin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rollin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rollin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dunsmore swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dunsmore is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dunsmore looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rollin is fending him off so far but Dunsmore persists. Nope, Rollin circles away and we're back to standing.
Rollin throws a front kick aimed at Dunsmore's knee but Dunsmore avoids it well.

Dunsmore shoots for a takedown but Rollin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rollin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dunsmore tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rollin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rollin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Dunsmore is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rollin defends well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rollin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dunsmore defends it well.

Rollin has hold of Dunsmore's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dunsmore manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rollin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
