Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocko Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dante Ninja!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rod shoots in but Ninja avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ninja shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rod napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rod pushes Ninja away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ninja gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rod is not content to let Ninja control the position.
Ninja tries to move to mount but Rod blocks the move with his legs.
Ninja sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rod is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rod tries to bench press Ninja off him but Ninja keeps the position.
What's Rod going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Rod manages to get back to half guard.
Ninja is looking to stall here but Rod recovers full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dante Ninja hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rod tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ninja swivels and escapes.

Rod tries to sprawl but Ninja drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ninja is pressing down on Rod's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rod is holding on for now.

Ninja is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Rod wants to control from the top but Ninja keeps moving.

Dante Ninja has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ninja defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rod.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocko Rod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rod takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Rod gets caught flat footed, as Ninja shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rod had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ninja defends it easily.
Ninja wants to control from the top but Rod keeps moving.
Rod wants to stand and escape but Ninja is having none of it.
Ninja landing with the ground and pound.
Ninja is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ninja stands up from Rod's guard - Ninja perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ninja cracks Rod with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ninja fails with a takedown attempt.
Rod takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
No joy there for Rod, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rod looks for a takedown but Ninja sprawls well.
Rod is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ninja sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Ninja counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocko Rod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rod fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ninja manages to avoid it.
Ninja leaves Rod with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rod takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ninja scores with a jab to the body.
Ninja stalks Rod and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rod's face. Rod staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ninja clobbers Rod with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rod takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A left and a right from Ninja both land. Nice combination.
Ninja lands with a good body shot.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rod. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Ninja swinging wildly here.
Ninja connects with a jab.

Ninja lands a big right hand that sends Rod crashing to the mat! Ninja stays standing though and waves Rod back to his feet!

Rod is rocked!
Rod misses with a hook.
Oh Rod is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ninja lands a nice hook to Rod's body. Rod takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rod seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ninja rushes Rod with punches - Rod moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Rod goes down! Ninja follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dante Ninja!
