Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Antonio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Babuino!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Antonio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Antonio uses his free foot to push down on Babuino's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Babuino.
Babuino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Antonio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Babuino is trying to stand.
Antonio breaks from Babuino's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Antonio cracks Babuino with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Antonio thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Babuino is in a horrible position here. Antonio smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Antonio lands a nice shot to the head.
Babuino is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Antonio sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Antonio has control of Babuino's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Babuino regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Babuino is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Antonio lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Antonio throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Babuino is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Babuino can do anything to dispel that myth.

Babuino takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Antonio cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Antonio is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Antonio extends the arm and Babuino is forced to tap!

After winning the bout, Paulo Antonio thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
