Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glaube Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with . blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glaube Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximus Meridius!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Meridius.
Meridius looks to land a body kick but Silva moved away.
Silva keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Meridius throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Silva is looking to clinch but Meridius is avoiding it.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva misses with a body kick.
Meridius throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Meridius connects with an inside leg kick.
Silva tries to clinch but Meridius is having none of it.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Meridius misses with a hook.
Meridius lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Silva takes one on the button.
It looks like Glaube Silva has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meridius pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Silva throws a leg kick but Meridius sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Meridius avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Silva tries to clinch but Meridius is having none of it.
Meridius cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head.
Silva slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva throws a right hand that misses
and Meridius counters with an inside leg kick.
Meridius throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meridius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Meridius throws a leg kick that is checked
and Silva counters with a straight right hand.

Silva is breathing heavily.
Meridius's jab looks to have found its range, popping Silva under the eye.
Silva is rocked!
Meridius throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Meridius manages to break the clinch.
Maximus Meridius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Meridius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Meridius misses with a head kick.
Silva clinches up with Meridius and pushes him back against the cage.
Meridius is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Meridius seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Silva.
Meridius pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva wants to clinch up but Meridius keeps it at a distance.
A slapping body kick lands there for Meridius.
Meridius cracks Silva with an uppercut from hell and Silva crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Meridius's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Meridius wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.

Silva keeping moving, preventing Meridius from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Maximus Meridius.
Meridius misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Silva has a couple of punches blocked by Meridius.
Meridius wants to stall.
Silva tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Meridius is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silva is defending well for now.

Meridius throws a knee to the head but misses.
Meridius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Meridius lands a two punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Meridius bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Silva! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Meridius is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Silva is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Silva throws a head punch that misses.
Silva misses with a hook from the clinch.
Silva misses with some punches.
Meridius manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Meridius blocks an uppercut.
Meridius has Silva pressed against the cage.
Meridius wants to break the clinch but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maximus Meridius dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Glaube Silva's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A jab lands there for Meridius.
Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Meridius on the side of the head.
Meridius swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Meridius really felt that one!
Meridius throws a powerful right kick. Silva tried to block low but the kick was high! Silva was taken right off of his feet! Meridius jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Maximus Meridius!
