Jose Calderon struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calderon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Amore keeps the fight on the outside.
Calderon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Amore stuffs the takedown.
Calderon moves in looking to clinch but Amore pushes him off.
Amore circles away from the clinch attempt.
No joy there for Calderon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Amore tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Calderon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Calderon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amore tries to avoid it but Calderon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amore to the ground. Amore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Calderon doesn't manage to clinch there - Amore circles away.
Calderon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Calderon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amore sprawls well. Amore wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Calderon gets slowly back to his feet.
Wagner Amore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Calderon.
Calderon works over Amore's head and body with a nice combination.

Amore closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Calderon did well to prevent Amore getting side control.
Calderon looks like he's trying to stand up.

Amore uses his free foot to push down on Calderon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Calderon.

Calderon is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Amore locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Calderon is forced to tap!
