Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny The Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quincy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Rocket comes into the arena with Airplanes - B.O.B. and Hayley Williams blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones slips a jab from The Rocket.
The Rocket fails to land with a series of punches.
The Rocket ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
The Rocket lands with a right hand.
Jones throws a series of punches but The Rocket moves out of range.
Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. The Rocket checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The Rocket is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones is trying to trip The Rocket. He has hold of a leg but The Rocket is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
