Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hoyce Lacie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Flash - Forget to Care. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacie bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gordon's head.

Gordon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lacie looking to control.

Gordon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lacie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lacie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lacie!
Lacie advances to full mount.
Lacie is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Gordon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gordon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lacie takes Gordon's back.

Gordon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lacie's guard. Nice work there by Gordon.
Gordon passes Lacie's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lacie won't allow Gordon to pass to mount.

Lacie has his foot on Gordon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gordon works his way back into a safe position though.

Gordon postures up and lands a big shot to Lacie's brow.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gordon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gordon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lacie has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gordon off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Gordon gets a takedown into half guard.
Lacie regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gordon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lacie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lacie looking for a triangle here. Gordon is fighting it but it looks tight! Lacie pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gordon is tapping out - this one is all over!
