Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Homero Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lacerda looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lacerda content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lacerda uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.
Silva is looking to get to half guard.

Lacerda working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay.

Lacerda goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Lacerda's guard.

Lacerda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lacerda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Lacerda's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva throws a strike but Lacerda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lacerda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lacerda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lacerda manages to get himself to full guard.
Lacerda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Silva pushes down on Lacerda's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lacerda is not content to let Silva control the position.
Lacerda is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silva thows a huge punch but Lacerda dodges it nicely.
Lacerda is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Lacerda is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Silva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Silva for a finish.

Silva is in a bad position with Lacerda working for a choke. Silva manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Lacerda controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lacerda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lacerda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.

A nice inside leg kick there by Lacerda. That's going to slow Silva down.
Lacerda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee is keeping an eye on Lacerda - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Lacerda jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lacerda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lacerda is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lacerda.

Lacerda looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Lacerda persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
