Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geebro Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Franusik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomasz Franusik has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Geebro Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomasz Franusik!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franusik darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Franusik sits in half guard.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Franusik trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away.
Franusik might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Tomasz Franusik has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Franusik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Franusik rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Johnson stalling in the clinch but Franusik improves position.

Franusik breaks the clinch.

Franusik looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Johnson tries to get to full guard but Franusik has control of the leg.
Johnson pushes Franusik off looking to stand but Franusik dives back in and keeps control.
Franusik blocks the strikes from Johnson.
Franusik is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franusik thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Franusik is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard.
Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Franusik is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson is looking to improve his position.
Franusik controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tomasz Franusik was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Franusik saw that one coming.
Franusik misses with a takedown attempt
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Franusik on that attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Franusik takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Johnson lands the left hand.

Franusik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Johnson is trying to control Franusik's posture but Franusik avoids it.
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
Franusik lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.
Johnson sneaks back into half guard.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Franusik is controlling well.
Franusik drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson gets full guard.
Johnson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Franusik controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Franusik trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Franusik is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Franusik stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Franusik!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tomasz Franusik will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jab by Johnson.
Franusik dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Franusik's head and hops out.
Franusik takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Franusik doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Johnson lands a head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Franusik looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.

Johnson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Franusik sprawling to the canvas! Franusik rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Johnson finish him?!


Franusik is rocked!
Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Franusik has time to react.
Franusik is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Franusik leaves his chin hanging out and Johnson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Franusik crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Geebro Johnson!
