Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jean Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Tortuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver comes to the cage accompanied by Snow (Hey Oh). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Tortuga!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tortuga is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Silver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tortuga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tortuga looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Silveris looking to pass into half guard but Tortuga pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tortuga is in guard.

Tortuga slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jean Silver just wasn't active enough.
Silver throws a big shot that misses.
Silver closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tortuga circles away.
Tortuga throws a low kick, looking for Silver's leg but Silver calmly moves out of range.
Tortuga looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.

Tortuga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silver is fending him off so far but Tortuga persists. Nope, Silver circles away and we're back to standing.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silver.
Tortuga shoots in looking for a takedown. Silver tries to sprawl out of it but Tortuga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jean Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Tortuga.

Silver closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tortuga is trying to control Silver's posture but Silver avoids it.
Silver tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Silver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tortuga keeps working.
Silver sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tortuga is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver grinds an elbow into Tortuga's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tortuga is not content to let Silver control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tommy Tortuga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tortuga enables Silver to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tortuga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tortuga pulls Silver in close to his closed guard and prevents Silver from doing any damage or advancing position.

Silver throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Tortuga to regain full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tortuga needs to keep his hands up - Silver had a free shot at his head there.
Tortuga moves to clinch but Silver breaks away

so Silver counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Silveris looking to pass into half guard but Tortuga pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tortuga is in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tommy Tortuga.
Tortuga drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Tortuga shoots in but no luck this time.
Tortuga uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silver.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silver fails with a takedown attempt.
Tortuga looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Silver closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tortuga quickly recovers to half guard.
Silver is looking to pass Tortuga's guard but actually Tortuga recovers to full guard.
Silver missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jean Silver showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Silver has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
