Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Lockyer.
Alves fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lockyer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lockyer misses with a wild body shot.
Alves moves away from the strike by Lockyer.
Lockyer throws a series of punches but Alves moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Alves darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alves lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lockyer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lockyer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lockyer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Alves tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lockyer is able to avoid easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lockyer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lockyer cracks Alves with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Lockyer looks to land a right hand but Alves moved out of range.
Alves lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Alves feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lockyer's calf.
Alves darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Lockyer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Alves counters with a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lockyer. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Alves counters with a head kick. That will keep Lockyer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Lockyer throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alves throws a low kick but Lockyer moves out of range easily.
Lockyer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lockyer blocks the body kick.

Alves throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lockyer throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alves lands with a kick to the temple. Lockyer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Alves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alves dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lockyer. That did some damage!
Lockyer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alves.
Alves throws a leg kick but Lockyer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lockyer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alves doesn't seem bothered though.
Lockyer misses the shot to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lockyer might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Lockyer moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Alves! Lockyer continues to tee off on Alves, landing with a left and a right! Lockyer connects with a right hand that leaves Alves sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Lockyer!
