Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwood slips under a jab from Mooney.
Mooney just misses with a punch to the body.
Blackwood looks to land a left hand but Mooney moved out of range nicely.
Mooney takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Paul Mooney has been cut.
Mooney throws a right hand that Blackwood ducks under and follows up with a left that Blackwood also avoids with ease.
Blackwood wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Blackwood misses with a head kick.
Mooney tries to bum rush Blackwood with a series of wild strikes but Blackwood uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mooney scores with a decent looking hook.
Blackwood lands a nice shot that snaps Mooney's head back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Blackwood counters with a low kick, right behind Mooney 's knee.
Mooney connects with the punch.
Blackwood goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mooney looks to land a left hand but Blackwood moved out of range nicely.
Mooney steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blackwood.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blackwood closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Blackwood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mooney moves out of range of the body kick.
Mooney slips a jab and a cross from Blackwood.
Mooney throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blackwood.
Blackwood cracks Mooney with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Paul Mooney's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mooney moves to clinch but Blackwood breaks away
and Blackwood counters with a left hand that sends Mooney to the canvas!
Mooney is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blackwood chips away with some ground and pound.
Oh Mooney is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blackwood gets to his feet and stands over Mooney, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Mooney felt that one! Blackwood unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Mooney from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thor Blackwood!
