Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Curtis!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans drives through with a takedown into Curtis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Curtis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Evans wants to stand but Curtis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Evans advances to half guard.
Curtis is looking for a sweep. Evans is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Curtis is not content to let Evans control the position.
Curtis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan Evans wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Evans throws a push kick but Curtis slaps the foot to one side.
King Curtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Curtis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Evans on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Evans might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Curtis connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Evans some visible discomfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Evans is looking to regain half guard here but Curtis keeps moving and retains side control.
Curtis landing strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Curtis is putting a hurting on Evans here, landing some big shots from side control.


It looks like Nathan Evans has been cut.
Curtis scoring with punches and elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Curtis cracks Evans with a big right hand but Evans just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.


Evans is rocked!
Curtis scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Evans is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Curtis can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). King Curtis!
